TCM, China's national treasure, possesses a unique theoretical system and distinguished therapeutic methods. In recent years, TCM's overseas influence has greatly increased; a growing number of people from diverse racial and culture backgrounds are seeking TCM's assistance. Furthermore, the transmission of Chinese medicine to the West and growing number of TCM educational institutions has led to an unprecedented demand for TCM publications in multiple languages.

To advance the spread of TCM throughout the world, while maintaining its purity and clinical effectiveness, we are planning to publish 1000 TCM publications in English and other foreign languages over the next several years. We wish to warmly welcome all TCM experts, including practitioners, professors, and students to participate in this important project as writers, translators and editors.

The project is administered by the People's Medical Publishing House'’s (PMPH) TCM international publishing department, in cooperation with the World Federation Chinese Medicine Society (WFCMS), and WHO's collaborative center for promotion and translation of WHO publications in China.

WFCMS, the international authoritative TCM academic organization, comprised of 120 Chinese medical societies throughout the world. WFCMS continually strives to promote the international exchange, spread and development of Chinese medicine. It has much experience in organizing academic exchange, training international students, and maintains close relationships with overseas Chinese medicine societies.

TCM textbooks in English

As per the international publishing plan, we will firstly engage in the editing and publishing of English TCM textbooks. For each book, there will be two chief editors: a Chinese expert, who is in charge of the Chinese part, and a foreign expert, who is in charge of the English part and finalizing the manuscript. Two translators will participate in the team. The Chinese experts will be well-known professors from famous TCM universities in China, while the foreign experts will be those who have rich experience teaching TCM in the USA and other foreign countries. The translators will not only have a good command of English, but will also have a firm understanding of TCM. There is a list of 30 textbooks. We welcome all suggestions for our TCM textbooks. Those who are interested in participating can download the registration form below.

We would greatly appreciate your recommendations for qualified participants who might have interest in joining this program. Our team includes both domestic and foreign writers. Both of the chief editors will share the copyright.
